Patrice Desdunes

Patrice Desdunes is a seasoned land development professional with WSP Canada in Toronto, Ontario. After graduating from Concordia University with a degree in Civil Engineering, he worked for over 2 years in Montreal and over 16 years with WSP Canada in Toronto, where he held various positions and is now a manager. Over the past five years, he and his colleague Cherisse Vanloo, a graduate of Concordia University, have founded the Black Professional People Network [BPPN], an employee resource group (ERG) within WSP. Over the past four years, they have forged relationships with the Black Engineers of Canada (BEC) and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) at several Canadian universities, and have participated in a multitude of events, roundtables and networking events to help motivate the next generation and increase representation in the consulting engineering industry.
Patrice has been and continues to be a strong supporter of mentoring and believes strongly in the power of helping others succeed. He has been a mentor for many years with WSP and continues to guide young professionals towards their career goals.His commitment to mentoring and his desire to see others succeed make him an exceptional mentorexceptional.
